Dr. Nóra Pálinkás-Bodzsár

She has been acting in KÁTKI since 2004, first doing her diploma work here, then as a full time PhD student. She became officially an employee of KÁTKI as assistant research fellow in 2009, and when she obtained her PhD degree in 2012 she was appointed to research fellow.

Her present field of research is the improvement of DNA-based qualification methods for different deep freezing and embryonic cell and tissue transplantation investigations in poultry species. Her former research topics were linked to the investigation of the origin and genetic diversity of indigenous Hungarian chicken breeds by using molecular genetic markers (mtDNA, RAPD, SSR, SNP), as well as to the topics of origin control and poultry sex determination.
